Vladimir State University trains civil engineers from 1970 and at present Architectural and Civil Engineering Faculty is one of the leading Facultys at the University. More than 1000 students including foreign citizens study in it.
Qualified lecturers, i.e. 8 professors, members of specialized Academies, about 50 Associated Professors, P.h.D., some of them are Honoured Workers of Engineering and Science, deliver lectures at the Faculty Civil Engineering of and Architecture.
The graduates of the Faculty can improve their qualifications and scientific knowledge taking post – graduate courses. As for the graduates of the Faculty almost all of them work in field of civil engineering.
There is the branch of Regional Lyceum of the Vladimir State University for the entrance examinatios to the Faculty of CIVIL Engineering and Architecture in Mathematics, Physics, Russian Language and Drawing.

270301 - Architecture
The Faculty trains architects who can design and build both new structures and reconstruct old ones. Architects acquire professional skills in architectural drawing, painting, sculpture, design. Various kinds of residential and public buildings with their structures and equipment, theory and practice of town planning are among the subjects of intensive study.
270102 - Industrial and Construction Engineering
(two branches:- technological manager of construction,restoration of buildings and structures)
Builder is a creator. He is in an uninterrupting search of the ways of speeding up construction, increasing its durability, quality and of course economy. During his study the student acquires not one but various kinds of professions. Designing engineer creates the structure, its exterior and carries out the necessary calculations. Building engineer can work in different construction sites as a foreman, general foreman, a head builder or head various kinds of building organizations. Research engineer investigates the durability of structures and buildings, develops new production technologies.
270205 - Highways and Airports
Highways take the mort important place in our life. They ensure high speed, comfort and safety. The graduates of the Faculty can design, build and serve highways, bridges, viaducts, car stations and complex structures.
270115 - Estimation and Real Estate Management
Some problems of estimation and effective management of available housing (structures, machines, pipelines, etc.) whose owners are different organizations and individuals constantly arise in our conditions of capitalization of all spheres of our life.
Knowledge acquired during the process of education is needed to the state and municipal office workers, managers of various enterprises, real estate firms, workers of different construction companies.
The Faculty provides the intensive courses for those having higher education.
270109 - Heat, Gas Supply and Ventilation
Such kinds of specialists are involved in schemes for the provision of heat, gas supply and ventilation in modern cities and towns. The graduates can work both in designing and building companies dealing with gas and heat supply.
270112 - Water Supply and Waste Water Disposal
The Faculty of Water Supply and Waste Water Disposal trains engineers who design, install, operate and reconstruct water supply and wastewater disposal systems of industrial, civil and natureprotective projects in cities and towns.
270105 - Town Planning and Economy
Municipal housing services, municipal and federal government agencies, tows and regional government agencies urgently need such kinds of specialists.
The University is allowed to train water engineers. Future graduates can work in housing services as well as in building and designings offices.
